Boys Bedroom Inspiration Roundup

We haven’t really mentioned the little boy’s bedroom we have been slowly working on nor have we ever featured anything on the site. Many of you probably don’t even know we’re doing a boy’s bedroom! We’ve been working on it here and there but his sister’s room has top priority right now. We spent most of Saturday at the house painting her bedroom in a lovely shade of gray called Silver Lake by Behr. We still have some more painting and other things to do before it gets featured on the site. We can’t wait!

Anyway…back to the point of this post. When looking for boys bedroom there are not that many rooms to choose from, unless of course it’s a nursery. Well the little boy is no longer a baby, he’s now 4 years old. And we’d like to design a room for him that he’d like for another 6 years. So I went on a search to find sophisticated, but child friendly boys bedrooms and here’s what I like.

rustic boys bedroom
If this is not the best boy’s bedroom on the face of this earth then I dare you to find a better one! I love everything about it. The navy striped duvet, the headboard with the nailhead trim and especially the wood planks on the wall behind the bed. This bedroom is classic and timeless, with a few tweaks this bedroom would be great for a teenager as well. Jute Home

gray orange navy boys bedroom

I spotted this bedroom over on Little Green Notebook as part of a house tour. The whole house is just lovely and you should definitely check it out! The navy, gray, and orange color scheme is very sophisticated. As the boy continues to grow older, his room will grow with him. The campaign dresser and navy spindle bed are real statement pieces.

This bedroom has a lot of lovely details. I’m really loving the detail on the bed frame. Nothing about this bedroom screams little boy, and that’s what I think makes this room just perfect.

shared boys bedroom

Orange seems to be a very popular color among boys bedrooms lately. This shared bedroom is very creative and not to mention space saving.  We’re really torn between pairing red with navy and gray or going with orange navy and gray. Maybe we can focus more on orange and throw a little pop of red in there or vice versa.

I’m sure there are many more boys bedrooms out there but these are the four I like the most.
